Internal reference for sending prospect-ready demo links, understanding what drives the numbers, and configuring niches. Nothing on this page is linked from the audit itself.
Demo links by niche
Every link opens the audit in Sample Mode, pre-filled with sourced Ontario industry averages for that trade. Add &name=FirstName to personalise the header and report.
| Niche | Link |
|---|
URL parameters
| Param | What it does | Example |
|---|---|---|
niche | Loads that trade’s industry averages, brand, booking URL, and service price. Aliases work (fence, roofer, lawn, concrete…). Unknown or missing → fencing. | ?niche=hvac |
name | Prospect’s first name — shows in the header (“Audit for Mike”), the form, and the printed report. | ?name=Mike |
How the numbers are built
The leak is a partition of one pool of inbound contact, not three stacked claims. Every lead has exactly one fate, each stream uses the niche’s own close rate, and the total is sanity-guarded against implied current revenue (shown in the report’s hero):
| Stream | Formula |
|---|---|
| Implied revenue | monthly leads × niche close rate × avg job value — the anchor everything is checked against |
| Missed calls | min(missed/mo, lead volume) × 70% (contact a competitor) × close rate × avg job value — a subset of leads, never on top of them |
| Slow response | (leads − missed) × response-time penalty % × close rate × avg job value — answered leads only |
| Coverage gap | attribution slice of the missed-call loss (share of contact hours falling in uncovered peak windows) — diagnostic, already inside the missed total |
| Sanity guard | total leak saturates asymptotically at 60% of implied revenue; line items scale proportionally so the breakdown always sums exactly. The report can never claim a business leaks more than it makes. |
Sample defaults land every niche in a 24–44%-of-revenue leak — alarming and believable. Recovery potential is a further conservative 60% of the guarded leak. ROI and payback use the niche’s service price. The reputation gap is a context KPI, deliberately excluded from the total.
Niche configuration (brand, booking, price)
One config block at the top of index.html controls routing. Fencing runs under Grassroots Media at $297/mo and books into the fencing sub-account widget; every other niche runs under 1000 Islands Thrive at $497/mo and books via the S2L demo funnel. To split out another niche, copy the fencing entry and change the key.

Honesty guardrails (do not remove)
The SAMPLE watermark, the “these are not your real numbers” ribbon and callouts, and the assumptions line under the headline figure are what keep this defensible in front of a prospect. The assumptions line now includes the close rate, so a reader can reconstruct the displayed figure from the stated inputs.
